Included in this Special package are the actual magnets (Neodymium N40 Rare Earth Magnets) Hugh specifically recommends. I know, he told me!!!
I currently hold a patent pending on my own wind turbine design however I used Hugh's excellent and easy to understand books to start with.
The book describes the step by step process to make you own fully working wind turbine.
The most expensive thing in the book (and most difficult to obtain) are the rare earth magnets. With this package they are included. The magnets usually retail for $15 each. We supply 24 of them.
The other items you need to purchase (or build) are all found at your local hardware store.
Below is a description of our rare earth magnets. We had these custom made for this specific purpose following Hugh's advice.
Rare earth magnets are a special type of magnet. They are the worlds strongest type of magnet and are composed of Neodymium, Iron and Boron (NeFeB) elements. We sell magnets ranging from N35 to N50, also with various coatings. We were the first to offer BULK rare earth magnets on auction sites in Australia and we are still the CHEAPEST and the BEST!
You are buying 24 rare earth magnets.
Magnet Information:
- Width: 30mm (1.181" in.)
- Height: 10mm (0.393" in.)
- Length: 40mm (1.575" in.)
- Grade: N40
- Coating: Nickel (Ni)
- Magnetized Direction: Through height - 10mm
Explanation of coatings:
Coatings do not affect the magnetic performance but should be chosen for the magnets intended use.
- Nickel - silver shiny finish, good corrosive properties, used for industrial applications, crafts, experiments, science, very durable coating. Direct skin applications over time may irritate.
- Gold - gold coating over nickel, direct skin applications, low durability
- Epoxy - plastic like coating, excellent corrosion properties, least durable, various colours
- Tin - shiny and dull grey spirals, not a common coating
- Zinc - dull grey in colour, higher corrosion compared to nickel
If you need advice please ask me, I am an Engineer and can offer sound advice unlike many others selling similar products. I can also offer some sound direction regarding the benefits of magnets for health.
**Please note: Unless your using these magnets for very technical scientific purposes you cant tell the difference between N42 and say N45 for magnets of the same size and quality. Some Sellers selling similar items claim differences of 20%, however this is very misleading. The difference between N42 and N44 is less than 3%. Magnetic performance also depends on the quality of materials and manufacturing process. When comparing magnets, you need to look at the amount of mass each magnet has, not just the Gauss rating, rule of thumb: The bigger the magnet, the stronger it is. See table below when comparing magnets of the same size:

- There is no such thing as a single or monopole magnet......yet
- If you apply heat to magnets they WILL lose some of their strength
- There is no indication that magnetic fields harm the body, in fact many people believe magnetic therapy is very beneficial.
These magnets are very versatile and can be used for anything including science experiments, art and craft accessories, engineering, hobbies, jewellery, magnetic therapy, or anything you choose. To clean magnets, clean with soapy water and damp cloth, rinse cloth then wipe magnets again.
Our magnets are very powerful. The larger magnets can quickly snap together. Please use cation and keep fingers and other body parts well clear of separated magnets

People with pacemakers, insulin pumps and other medical implants or devices should consult their doctor before using or handling our magnets.
Our magnets should not be used by children to avoid risk of accidental swallowing or injury.
Do not cut or grind the magnets as the magnetic material is explosive
To separate magnets, carefully slide them apart instead of attempting to pull them apart. Larger magnets may require special tools to separate and to hold them in place.
Keep larger magnets more than 30cm (1 foot) away from each other to avoid the risk of them smashing together. If not handled correctly any size magnet may break, crack, chip or shatter
Please use protective eye cover when handling the magnets
Keep magnets away more than 30cm (1 foot) away from credit cards, software, or any other magnetic storage media. The strong magnets can wipe the information clear.
