This art glass collectible dolphin figurine is a part of our wide collection of glass dogs, cats, other animals, amphibians, insects and flowers lampwork miniatures.
These items have been made in Ukraine, the country where glass blowing traditions are being passed through generations for more than six centuries.
The main technique of performing these miniatures is flameworking, or lampworking. This technique of glassblowing involves using a torch to melt rods and tubes of glass together and then blowing, twisting, and pulling them to acquire the desired shapes. The glass that is used is borosilicate, or pyrex glass. Borosilicate melts at a higher temperature than most of the glasses traditionally used for glass blowing and therefore needs to be worked in a torch.
Our masters artisants from Lviv, Ukraine, express their high artistism in creating those amazinly beautiful glass figurines, which are produced in limited quantities, so they are especially presious and valuable to anyone's collection.
Measures of the miniature: 2 x 4 inches (5 x 9,5 cm). Dimensions may slightly differ because of 100% hand work.

Careful packaging is one of the most important factors of distance selling, especially if one has to deal with fragile articles. We pack adequately your precious item for a safe shipment.
First we wrap the item in a bubble wrap, which makes gentle, but very strong protective "coat" around the glass statue or miniature. Then the item is placed in a box, which is filled with especially designed for fragile items packaging material - "peanuts", made of bubbled foam. This packaging method is very efficient, as the foam is absorbing much stress and pressure while keeping the contents safe.
