A gorgeous piece of Australia's social history, this 32 page magazine is in very good condition with only one fold mark (dog-ear) on the top corner of the back cover & one small brown mark on the back cover outside edge. The front & back cover are in colour, with the back being a full page ad for Bushells Tea. The magazine features short stories, articles on when to marry, diet & weightloss, instructions for a knitted layette, Hollywood updates, fur fashion spread, gardening, reader feedback & letters, instructions for the jumper featured on the cover, A Red Ryder comic page, handy hints and an article on the history of names. There are also many great ads for products.. some of which are no longer with us... such as White Crow Jelly crystals, Hypol & Zebo stove polish along with Laxettes & Vicks Vapour Rub. |
