.925 - Sterling Silver
Pure bullion silver (.999 Fine) is too soft to make into jewellery, so an alloy is made by adding around 6-7% copper and a tiny amount of zinc or nickel. The resulting alloy is identified as .925 or "Sterling" silver.
Sterling silver is a metal that is meant to be worn. Left on top of a night stand, silver will tarnish. One way to prevent silver from tarnishing between displays or wearings is to keep the jewellery in cloth pouches or Zip-closure plastic bags. A silver cloth is the best way to remove tarnish from jewellery. Over time, liquid cleaners tend to yellow the metal (although buffing will bring back the original shine). Light mechanical buffing with a soft polish-treated cloth usually works best.
Crystals
Crystals and gemstones have been used for thousands of years by civilisations all over the world not only for their beauty but also for their healing properties as well as being used for protection and good luck. Each crystal and gemstone has its own healing properties, and is a miniature power house, holding energies built up over countless Millennia. These energies can act upon the body in very subtle ways with the energy helping various parts of the body to heal or be re-energised.
The energies these crystals hold can be utilised by wearing them as jewellery, just keeping them loose in your pocket or having them around your home. Colour also plays a big part in the healing process and will correspond to an associated Chakra (Chakra is the ancient Sanskrit word for wheel, they are powerful energy centers).
