Rare opportunity to own one of my original works ::

"SplashBug" Original ArtWork by Sutrinaltra Thom - Signed, Dated `06

Painted in 2006 depicts a splash in a Devon stream that runs thru Dartmoor where I would often find Neolithic objects, hand tools.

I imagined all the splashes caused by all the objects thrown into that particular stretch of water, then combined them. This was not painted at the site/scene but later at home whilst I was surrounded by many of the Neolithic objects :: scrapers and hand tools :: that I had found at that spot. What occured to me was the importance of fire at that time and how it helped to break down the meat protiens that helped to "grow" our brains....so old fire bursts thru this picture of eons of water splashes.

24 x 18 inches on streched canvas, mixed media. Signed on the reverse, named and dated.

I do not sign the front of any of my work, btw.

I can tell you one thing, the buyer of this work will have purchased a future investment as the picture has now been digitized for a Giclee Print and Canvas Print run. The prints will adorn office walls, waiting rooms, pubs & clubs and homes through-out the World, so the original will hold and increase in value....but that is not what it is all about, is it?
