This novel was my compulsory read in Form 4 at Dandenong High School. Now I hope that my English teacher and/or Barry Owen Jones ( yes the Barry Jones from Pick a box and Australian Parliament) isn't a web browser. But it would be good in a way. The reason I am stating this is that i have totally forgotten the synopsis of this story ,and Mr. Jones used to be an English AND Modern History teacher of mine. Yeh! I copied this little exerpt from somewhere else just as a teaser.
"The anti-hero of the story, Honey, is engaged in research on the fatigue of aluminium airframes. His current project, overseen by Scott, is to investigate possible failure in the high aspect ratio tailplane of a new airliner, the Rutland Reindeer. The events are narrated by Scott, in the first person, driving the pace of the story."

Apparently this book was also made into a movie, as were other books by this author such as A town Like Alice, On the Beach to name just 2

The book itself is in fair to good condition, as it was a reading novel there are some pencil marks in it, but they do not affect the readability. The pages are starting to yellow slightly as it was published in 1962. It is a hard cover
