My lovely mauve pelargonium is a great one in your garden.

It has lemon scented leaves and it hsa been said they are good as an insect repellant!

This geranium is a vigorous grower, but can be kept in check with pruning now and then

Like all geraniums it is drought friendly and has survived for a number of years on recycled washing machine rinse water - while the drought was really bad on NSW Central Coast. But they can go without water as well for a good time - so they are really good to have around.

An old aunt once told me to have geraniums around the fence to keep the snakes out of the yard, she lived on a large property in the country of course! It also explained all the plants around her fence!

If you want to have a cottage garden, or simply lots of colour geraniums are a great way to start!
