| These great bags are the 300 mm X 455 mm bags (12 inch X 18 inch) perfect for; suitable for items of clothing; books and craft items. Larger than a 3 kilo satchel. You are buying 100 bags at a time at a price that CAN NOT BE MATCHED. These are a 40 UM thickness; I receive three questions on a regular basis that I have included here:) WHAT IS THE COST OF POSTAGE? the cost of postage is based upon the cost of getting the item to where you live; we use a combination of satchels and postage to get the item to you and these factors have a bearing on the cost of the product. We combine by weight not by item (just as Aust post does it for us) so in some cases you may find there is no increase in postage at all whilst in other cases it might seem that there is no or little discount.i.e. 1 x 50 mm by 50 mm is 5.00 postage; 2 X 50 mmX50 mm is 10.00 (tracking included) but 3-5 X50 mm x 50 mm is also 10.00 total postage; this is what it costs us so this is what it will cost you. WHAT DOES Um MEAN? Um(micron) is the thickness of the sheet of plastic used to make a bag; i.e. in a bag there are two sheets of plastic X um thick that makes up a bag. 50 Um means that the two sheets are each 50 micron thick. There is a +/- of 5% in bag thickness. WHAT ARE THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE BAG UP TO THE ZIP SEAL? We struggled with this question as the measurements are taken according to industry standard as being the useable portion contained within the zip seal (the area that can be sealed). for people to ask this question we must assume that there are some sellers who do not measure according to the industry standards. the flap past the zip seal should never be measured as part of the bag! Again there is a tolerance allowable and we use .05 mm as our standard (a bag maybe +/- .05mm in sizing) however where the exact size you ordered is not available a substitute of a greater Um or the next size up may be sent as compensation. |
